    Credit Controller

    Salary Competitive Base, Pension + Target Related Bonus 

    Braemar’s Technical division offers a broad range of complementary adjusting, surveying, engineering, environmental and consultancy services to the marine, offshore, energy, shipping and insurance sectors. We are now looking for a Credit Controller to join our London EC 3 based team.

    The functions of the Credit Control and Billing team is to maximise the cash flow to the business through ensuring timely billing of services and timely collection of debts and to minimise bad debts through proactive management of the debtor’s ledger and to promote the company through all its dealings with clients. The services performed are regularly for a consortium of clients, requiring allocation of fees into proportions related to each consortium member.

    The Credit Controller will be responsible for their own ledger and will work towards reducing the aged debt to meet monthly targets set by the Credit Control and Billing Manager. The Credit Controller will also be responsible for entering fees onto the ECF (Electronic Claims Filing) system on a weekly basis for the largest clients Lloyds and IUA; this is a shared responsibility between the team.

    To be considered for this role previous experience in of the insurance market is highly advantageous to your application. A positive, ‘can do’ attitude and team player mentality are essential. Professional and flexible, you must have outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal. You must also possess an excellent telephone manner and great attention to detail. Experience and excellent understanding of MS Office is essential, experience of MS Dynamics is desired. Experience within the shipping industry would benefit your application.

    Design Engineer – Entry Level

    Braemar’s Technical division offers a broad range of complementary adjusting, surveying, engineering, environmental and consultancy services to the marine, offshore, energy, shipping and insurance sectors. Our Engineering team has an exciting entry level opportunity for a Design Engineer to join its team in Houston, TX to support a wide variety of LNG projects.

    The successful candidate will work collaboratively as part of the Braemar Engineer team to create and develop liquefied natural gas (LNG) related equipment and process design for marine projects as well as other engineering projects.

    Using your expertise, you will have the opportunity to develop, modify and review engineering drawings using CAD software, as well as supporting engineering calculations for design validation.  You will be responsible and accountable for preparing documentation and reports relating the design performance and specifications in addition to reviewing vendor and other third-party documentations and specifications for completeness and satisfactory performance.

    The successful candidate will be focused with outstanding attention to detail, able to work independently as well as part of a close team. You will actively seek new knowledge related to engineering practices, principles and regulations. You should be able to apply engineering principles and concepts to projects to solve problems.

    This position requires between 0-3 years’ design engineering experience. Experience with the design and analysis of marine and offshore structures, pressure vessels & pipe systems is desirable.

    Candidates are expected to have a Bachelor’s Degree in relevant engineering discipline or naval architecture. Experience with both 2D and 3D CAD modeling software, AutoCAD & Solidworks is preferred.
